Joikuspot & GPS

Seit 2004 hat sich viel getan, der iPod per se ist nicht mehr up-to-date, so wie dieses Forum. Um die Informationen nicht zu verlieren ist das Forum jetzt Read-Only für Gäste, Registrierungen sind aufgrund der hohen Anzahl an Spam-Accounts nichts mehr möglich.     Hi,

    ich habe eine wichtige Frage:

    Kann man mit der App "joikuspot" auch die gps-daten von den Smartphones (wie Nokia N97) auf den Ipod Touch bringen? Und ist dazu eine Internet-Daten-Flatrate oder ähnlichem nötig?

    Handy, Ipod Touch und ein GPS Empfänger wären etwas viel für die Hosentasche...

    JoikuSpot supports MapSpot 1.00. JoikuSpot users can be shown their exact HotSpot location on the first web landing page, when location data is available and published.
    MapSpot is a service offered to network operators with JoikuSpot. MapSpot communicates with external mapping and navigation services such as GoogleMaps, and shows the exact JoikuSpot HotSpot location to user on maps, or alternatively publishes open JoikuSpots on the world map.
    JoikuSpot Mobile HotSpot software that is installed to a mobile phone comes with built-in GPS support. When available, JoikuSpot client in the phone will post the GPS location of the HotSpot to the server side secure MapSpot engine, which in turn will process the JoikuSpot HotSpot location information and transform it visually to external mapping services such as GoogleMaps. The location of the HotSpot can be shown to user on the map e.g. at the first landing page JoikuSpot uses that is defined by the network operator with JoikuSpot.

    With MapSpot, the JoikuSpot user can:
    * Spot his exact location on the external mapping services
    * Get directions with couple of clicks, when JoikuSpot location is set as a starting point
    * Find businesses and points of interests near-by the JoikuSpot location
    MapSpot works in joint with JoikuSpot software client in GPS capable devices and is free to JoikuSpot users.
